Privacy policy

This site sets no cookies and does not track you. This policy explains the little personal data we do process, and why.

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Polish Developer Network sp. z o.o., ul. Słoneczna 32/9, 33-100 Tarnów, Poland, KRS 0000788468, NIP 8733271495, REGON 383458475 (‘PDN’, ‘we’).

To contact us about your data, use the message form and choose the topic ‘Privacy request’, or write to us at the address above. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser’s local storage. It loads no advertising or tracking scripts, no social media plugins, and no embedded maps or videos. Fonts and images, including UniFi product images, are served from our own domain.

There are two exceptions, both from Cloudflare, which hosts the site: the Turnstile bot check on the contact page, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. Both are described below.

When you contact us

The contact page has three forms. Depending on the form, we receive:

  • Request a call: your name, company, phone number or e-mail address, preferred time window, language and an optional note.
  • Request a service: the details of the software or UniFi / KNX project you describe, and your contact details.
  • Send a message: the topic, your name, e-mail address and message.

We use this data to answer you and, if you ask for it, to prepare a proposal. The legal bases are:

  • call and service requests: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
  • other messages, and requests made on behalf of a company: our legitimate interest in answering correspondence and communicating with clients and business partners (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
  • privacy requests: compliance with our legal obligations under the GDPR (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Submissions are delivered to us by e-mail. The site does not keep a copy in a database. Inside PDN, only the people who handle your enquiry see it.

When you visit the site

To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical data about each request, for example the date and time, the address requested, your browser and operating system, and the referring page. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working and secure site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to identify you.

Bot check on the contact page

The forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and by a hidden field that only bots fill in. Turnstile is loaded on the contact page only. To tell people from bots, it runs a short check in your browser and sends Cloudflare technical signals about your browser and device, together with your IP address. We receive only the result of the check. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the forms and our mailbox from spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Reading these signals is strictly necessary to provide the form you have chosen to use.

Visit statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used: page views, referring pages, browser and device type, country, and page load times. A small Cloudflare script collects this data. It uses no cookies or local storage, and we see only aggregated figures, never individual visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and keeping it fast (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who receives the data

We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing. The data is processed on our behalf by:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, content delivery, protection against attacks including DDoS, the Turnstile check, visit statistics, and delivery of form submissions by e-mail;
  • our e-mail service provider, which hosts the mailbox that receives the form submissions.

Both act as processors under data processing agreements and only on our instructions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to a court or a public authority.

Transfers outside the EEA

Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States and processes data across its global network, so your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision, and the transfers are also covered by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards through the message form.

If our e-mail service provider processes data outside the EEA, the same safeguards apply.

How long we keep data

  • Enquiries and messages: as long as we need to handle them and, if no contract follows, up to 12 months after our last contact, in case you come back to the same matter.
  • If a contract follows: for its duration, then until claims under it become time-barred and for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep records (usually five years from the end of the year concerned).
  • Privacy requests: until claims related to how we handled them become time-barred.
  • Request and security logs at Cloudflare: for a short period, no longer than 30 days, after which they are deleted automatically.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy of it (Art. 15);
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
  • have your data erased (Art. 17);
  • restrict processing (Art. 18);
  • data portability, for data you gave us so that we could take steps towards a contract (Art. 20);
  • object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21).

None of the processing described here is based on consent. If we ever ask for your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise your rights, use the message form with the topic ‘Privacy request’, or write to us by post. We will reply within one month. We may ask for information to confirm your identity.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland, uodo.gov.pl.

Do you have to give us your data?

No. Using the forms is voluntary. Without contact details, however, we cannot reply to you. You can also write to us by post instead.

No automated decisions or profiling

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not profile you. Turnstile only decides whether a form is being sent by a person or a bot. If it stops you by mistake, write to us by post.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the way we process data changes. The date of the latest version is shown on this page.
