03 — KNX
The open, worldwide standard for building automation since 1990: thousands of certified devices from hundreds of manufacturers, with no vendor lock-in.
What it controls
Switching, dimming and colour, grouped into scenes for the way each room is used.
Driven by time, sun position, wind and temperature, or simply by a button.
Room-by-room climate with schedules, presence and window contacts.
Metering and load control, so you can see and shift where the energy goes.
Rooms that react to people, light levels, CO₂ and humidity.
Wall panels and apps that show the whole building in one place.
Why KNX
KNX runs over its own bus cable, laid together with the electrical installation. The best moment to plan it is the design stage of a new build or a major renovation, together with the architect and the electrician.
KNX is an international standard (ISO/IEC 14543-3, EN 50090). Certified devices work together whoever made them.
Switches, sensors and actuators come from hundreds of manufacturers, and any of them can be replaced later.
The logic lives in the devices on the bus, not in an app or a cloud service, so it keeps working for decades.
Services
Surveys, audits, advisory
From controller to the last device
Remote, continuous
When something misbehaves
Optional: racking and stacking
We advise on and coordinate cable installation and termination. A cabling contractor performs it.
Who it is for
UniFi + KNX
UniFi runs the network, cameras and doors. KNX runs lights, blinds and climate. Connected, they react to each other: locally, with no cloud in between.
A door opens with UniFi Access. KNX lights the entrance and sets the room to comfort mode. Protect keeps the clip locally.
Last person out: KNX drops to eco mode, blinds close, Protect switches to away recording.
Smoke or intrusion: all lights on, blinds up, doors locked or released by policy, cameras record at full quality.
A short call is the fastest way to find out whether we are the right fit.
