About PDN

What is Polish Developer Network?

Polish Developer Network sp. z o.o. (PDN) is an independent engineering company from Tarnów, Poland. We work in three areas: custom software for the financial sector, UniFi networks and KNX building automation.

Software and building technology are run by separate teams with separate tools. They share one standard: quality, security and privacy.

Where are you based, and where do you work?

We are based in Tarnów, Poland, and work with clients worldwide. Most of the work is done remotely; we travel for the parts that need a person in the room. More on the How we work page.

Which languages do you work in?

English and Polish, for every service and wherever the work takes place.

How long have you been in business?

We have been in business since 2019, when Polish Developer Network was founded. Members of our team have longer careers: from 2007 to 2012 they designed and configured smart-home systems on KNX and other platforms, and since 2012 they have been developing software.

In 2026 we opened our UniFi and KNX practices and put our team’s smart-home experience back to work. More on the Who we are page.

Why are there no client logos or references on the site?

All our work is delivered under NDA. Publishing project details, even sanitised photos, tells attackers where to look, and a public client list would make us a target too.

References and project details are shared in a private meeting, once we have verified that you are a real, legitimate business or customer. Request a call to arrange one.

Are you affiliated with Ubiquiti, KNX Association or Microsoft?

No. PDN is an independent company and is not affiliated with Ubiquiti Inc., KNX Association or Microsoft Corporation. We work with their platforms because they meet our standards, not because we are tied to them.

Software

What kind of software do you build?

Business web applications in C# and .NET, domain-heavy financial systems (integrations, workflows, reporting, compliance-aware design), and practical AI and automation built into your processes. We also provide engineers who join your team.

Everything is designed for long lifecycles and real users. More on the Software page.

Do you only work with banks and financial companies?

No. Most of our software work is for banking and finance: long-running B2B contracts where correctness, auditability and data control matter more than novelty. We are glad to work with other industries that value the same things.

How can we work together?

There are two ways. In-house development: we take a defined scope end to end, from analysis and architecture to delivery and support.

Team augmentation: you keep the lead. We add senior engineers who report to you and work in your environment, with your tools, for as long as you need them.

Do you work in our infrastructure and repositories?

Yes, by default. We work in your environment, on your hardware and in your repositories, so you keep full control of the code and the data. Day to day the work is fully remote; for meetings and workshops we come to you, anywhere in the world.

Do your AI solutions send data to the cloud?

Not unless you ask. We build practical machine learning and LLM-based automation that runs on your infrastructure. If a cloud service is the right tool for a task, we use it only at your explicit request.

Which technologies do you use?

Mainly C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core and Blazor, with TypeScript and React on the front end, SQL Server and PostgreSQL for data, Docker for deployment, and ML.NET and LLM integrations for AI work.

We cannot be best at everything, so we choose carefully: C# / .NET web applications are our core.

UniFi

What does UniFi cover?

UniFi is one platform with six product lines: Network (Wi‑Fi, switching, routing, VPN, security), Protect (cameras and video recording, stored on site), Access (door access with readers, hubs and intercoms), Power (PDUs and backup power for the rack), Audio (multi-zone speakers and paging) and Connect (displays, EV charging and IoT devices).

More on the UniFi page.

Do I need licences, subscriptions or the cloud?

No. UniFi is managed locally, on controllers inside your building, with no licences or subscriptions. Recordings, access logs and settings stay on site. Cloud features are switched on only if you explicitly ask for them.

What do you do on a UniFi project?

Design: site surveys, audits and advisory. Provisioning and commissioning, from the controller to the last device. Monitoring and management, remotely and continuously. Support and troubleshooting when something misbehaves.

Hardware deployment is optional: we can install the devices on site, including racking and stacking.

Do you install the cabling?

No. Structured cabling is installed and terminated by a cabling contractor. We advise on it, coordinate the work and can oversee it on site, so the cabling matches the network design.

Can you take over an existing UniFi network?

Yes. We start with an audit of what is installed and how it is configured. From there we can take over monitoring, management and support, and carry out any reconfiguration or migration remotely.

Who is UniFi for?

Small and mid-size businesses and high-end homes: offices, hotels and hospitality, restaurants, rental properties, houses and apartments. If you want a network, cameras and door access that you actually own, it is a good fit.

KNX

What is KNX?

KNX is the open, worldwide standard for building automation, in use since 1990. Thousands of certified devices from hundreds of manufacturers work together in one system. More on the KNX page.

What does ‘no vendor lock-in’ mean in practice?

KNX is an open standard, so you are not tied to one manufacturer: devices from different brands work together, and the system can be extended, or parts of it replaced, years later. You are not tied to one integrator either, including us.

What can KNX control?

Lighting and scenes, blinds and shading, heating, cooling and ventilation. KNX also handles energy monitoring and presence and climate sensors, and you operate it all from visualisation software and touch panels.

Does KNX work with UniFi?

Yes. UniFi runs the network, cameras and doors; KNX runs lights, blinds and climate. Connected, they react to each other locally, with no cloud in between. When a door opens with UniFi Access, KNX lights the entrance and sets the room to comfort mode; when the last person leaves, KNX drops to eco mode and closes the blinds.

They work fine apart, too. You can order KNX, UniFi or both: they are separate services delivered by one team.

Can you work on an existing KNX installation?

Yes. KNX is an open standard, so an installation configured by someone else can be audited, supported and extended. The project documentation helps a great deal, especially the ETS project file (ETS is the official KNX configuration tool).

Do you do the electrical installation?

The wiring is done by an electrical contractor, just as structured cabling is done by a cabling contractor. We design the system, advise on and coordinate the installation, and then programme and commission every device.

Working with us

How do we start?

Request a call if you would like to talk it through first: a short call is the fastest way to find out whether we are the right fit. If you already know what you need, request a service and describe the scope.

For security reasons we do not publish an e-mail address or phone number. Both forms reach us directly.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope, so we quote each job individually, after a call. Remote delivery is the most cost-effective option and covers most of the work; on-site visits add travel costs.

Do you work on site, including outside Poland?

When it matters. Design and consulting, provisioning and commissioning, configuration and migration, monitoring and management, and software development and support are all done remotely.

We travel worldwide for site surveys and audits, hardware installation, oversight of structured cabling, and meetings, workshops and social events. Travel adds to the total cost.

Country-specific regulations for building work may add effort and cost, so tell us where the building is when you get in touch.

Do you supply the hardware?

The design specifies the hardware: which devices, how many and where. How it is purchased is agreed for each project. We work only with high-end hardware from trusted brands, and only with devices we consider secure.

What support do you offer once the project is live?

For UniFi and KNX: continuous remote monitoring and management, plus support and troubleshooting when something misbehaves. For software, support is part of in-house development, and augmented engineers stay for as long as you need them.

Response times and support hours are agreed with each client.

Where does our data stay, and who can see it?

Local-first, by default. In software projects we work in your environment, and the code and data stay under your control. In buildings, UniFi and KNX run on controllers inside the building; recordings, access logs and automation stay there.

Remote monitoring and management use a secure connection that you approve and can switch off at any time. Cloud features are used only at your explicit request. All our work is delivered under NDA, and we publish nothing about our clients.
